Arai SA2010 helmet vs Arai SAH2010 helmet (Differences and Snell Aproval)

All new 2011 Arai Auto helmets will now be offered for sale in the US with the latest Snell SAH2010 certification.

The Arai SAH2010 helmets are pre-drilled for the Hans posts and are supplied with factory installed M6 threaded inserts for a more user friendly Hans posts instalation.
The Install of the post is now done entirely from the outside.
The SAH210 helmets require a specific SAH hans post anchor available separately, these new SAH hans post have a FIA 8858-2010 certification.
The SAH anchors are recognizable by the hex bolt thats holds the post to the helmet, please note that the post needs to be indexed, the collar needs to point towards the rear of the helmet.
The Arai SAH2010 are also supplied with a FIA 8858-2010 label applied inside the helmet.

Up to this year, all Arai auto helmets coming into the US had a Snell SA2010 certication, these helmets were supplied only with Pre-drilled holes for the Hans Device.
These SA2010 helmets were suitable for the Old style SA Hans Posts, the ones where the threaded washer had to be installed between the shell and the padding.
The SA Hans posts are recognizable by the slot in the post and the FIA 8858-2002 stamping.
The Arai SA2010 helmets were supplied to the US without FIA label.
